1. NFC provisioning
A tag UID and protected key material establish an item-specific identity. Diversified keys help avoid treating every tag as the same secret, whether it is attached to a product, asset, or device.
Brand Verification authenticates registered NFC tags and connects consumers to your brand's website. Device Control combines hardware identity, Bluetooth context where needed, and passkey authentication to authorize protected functions for an assigned owner.
Both services begin with a registered hardware identity. Brand Verification uses secure NFC tags in products or packaging; Device Control adds the interfaces and authorization rules needed to operate compatible equipment. The examples across our site are representative.

The mobile app checks the tag's cryptographic identity through the registered service flow. For Brand Verification, the app then shows the brand's website.
Device Control adds passkey-based user verification and, where configured, Bluetooth context to authorize the protected action. Role-aware workspaces keep administration and operations separate.
A consumer taps a registered secure NFC tag in the Xibernetix app, authenticates it, and views your brand's website. Your team controls the content there, from provenance documentation and craftsmanship stories to care instructions and exclusive brand experiences.
Use Xibernetix to plan an owner-specific security experience that fits your product, protected functions, and customer journey.
Add NFC or Bluetooth-based owner verification to electronic, mechanical, or hybrid products through an integration designed for the target item.
Define which functions require verified owner authorization and how long the resulting access remains active for a supported deployment.
Bind a protected item to its intended owner through cryptographic verification, helping Product Brands deter counterfeit and unauthorized-use scenarios.
Manage enrollment, access events, recovery, reassignment, and retirement through the Xibernetix platform.
Xibernetix helps owners and operators access protected products through a deliberate, verified interaction.
Cryptographic verification checks the protected item and the signed-in person together, helping ensure that its protected functions are available only through the assigned owner’s authorized flow.
Use a supported NFC tap or Bluetooth interaction with your phone to request access to a protected function, reducing reliance on separate physical keys or PIN-entry workflows where the deployment supports it.
Product Brands can define authorized rules for recovery, reassignment, transfer, and other ownership changes so access can follow the item’s real-world lifecycle.
For supported device-control deployments, a protected function remains unavailable until the required nearby interaction and owner verification succeed, helping reduce unintentional or unauthorized use.
A first conversation is most useful when it starts with the product and the customer journey you want to protect.

Secure device authentication uses ISO-DEP Type 4 tags. Current mobile workflow support includes NTAG 424 DNA and MIFARE DESFire EV3 processors, with final tag selection validated for the target product.
Bluetooth integrations use Bluetooth Low Energy peripherals with a defined GATT profile, allowing the supported mobile app to discover, connect to, and interpret the device session.
Compatibility is confirmed per model and installation, including the device interface, power, actuator, enclosure, environmental exposure, connectivity, recovery path, and maintenance requirements.
