For Product Brands

Questions before you add security to your product line.

Answers for brands and device manufacturers evaluating Brand Verification, secure NFC integration, owner-verified Device Control, and lifecycle management.

Manufacturing friction

“Will key injection or tag tracking slow our production line?”

Xibernetix is designed to fit an established assembly flow. A white-label NFC Tag Manufacturer can work with unique, item-specific key material during its normal chip-provisioning process, while the Product Brand receives a signed manifest containing the public tag data for import into Xibernetix.

Tag form factor, placement, and handling are qualified with the Product Brand and NFC Tag Manufacturer before rollout. Integration may happen during assembly, sewing, labeling, or packaging; a pilot should check reading performance and the effect on production throughput.

Supply-chain trust

“How are we protected if a factory or tag supplier is compromised?”

Xibernetix is designed around a zero-trust supply-chain model. Root key material remains in controlled backend infrastructure; an upstream supplier works only with the item-specific material and public manufacturing data required for its role.

A copied UID or raw tag record alone is not enough to complete the authenticated Xibernetix flow. The item must prove the expected cryptographic relationship to the backend before its protected function can be authorized.

Customer experience

“Will sign-in and a tap make our product hard to use?”

Xibernetix uses familiar mobile behaviors: an NFC phone-to-product tap or a Bluetooth connection. Product Brands choose where that verification is required.

For Brand Verification, consumers use the app to authenticate the registered tag and view your brand's website. Your site can share craftsmanship stories, provenance documents, care guidance, or brand experiences. Device Control adds owner enrollment and verification for the protected functions defined by the deployment.

Loss and transfer

“What happens when an owner loses a phone, gifts an item, or sells it?”

Physical ownership changes, and the digital assignment needs to change with it. Xibernetix supports an authorized lifecycle process for recovery, unbinding, reassignment, and transfer, under rules set by the Product Brand.

Account recovery can restore a legitimate owner’s access without treating the physical item as new inventory. Transfers and resale can follow a controlled unbind-and-reassign process before a new owner is enrolled.

Cryptographic identity

“Why use secure NFC instead of a QR code or serial number?”

A static code can be copied without access to the original item. Secure NFC adds a cryptographic authentication step: a copied identifier alone cannot complete the registered tag's authentication flow.

The check establishes tag identity. Product provenance depends on the brand's records and the tag's physical association with the item; tamper detection requires a suitable hardware and installation design.

Connectivity

“Does verification work without an internet connection?”

Plan internet access for sign-in, initial setup, and the Brand Verification flow, including opening the brand's website.

Supported Device Control deployments can perform later local cryptographic checks temporarily offline after setup. Periodic synchronization keeps lifecycle and authorization state current; the exact requirements are reviewed for each deployment.
